Dogwood Pet Hospital located in Loves Park, IL is looking for their next associate veterinarian. Our practice takes pride in what we can do for our clients and their animals. We also take team bonding very seriously, such as fun outings like kayaking, bingo, or a simple game night for staff to enjoy each other's company. 

Our paper light practice is also very high tech. We love learning and teaching others how to use modern equipment. On top of the standard services we offer there's also orthopedic, rhinoscopies, ultrasound, digital/digital dental radiographs. We also offer a pet resort so our clients have a trusted place to leave their furry friends when out of town. We are perfect for someone with experience who wants to just jump right in, but our incredible mentorship program makes us a great option for new grads as well!

A new grad or an experienced vet would be a good fit on our team.  Our support staff makes life super easy for our veterinarians with a 1:4 veterinarian to support staff ratio. Our staff is incredible, knowledgeable, and absolutely SPOILS our veterinarians! As far as a work schedule, you can expect 4 days a week with every 3rd Saturday coming to a total of about 32-35 hours. We also provide 5 consecutive days off every month for all of our veterinarians giving them time to take care of things at home.

Located about an hour away from the City of Chicago, Madison, or Milwaukee. Perfect in between spot of 3 big cities, Loves Park/Machesney Park, IL is a calm town with plenty to offer to their residents. Small town feel while never being too far from Chicago pizza or the famous Wisconsin breweries. In town we have multiple state parks and the Anderson Japanese Garden to feed your outdoorsy side, adventure parks and pools for family, and plenty of restaurants for the food-lovers.
