75K Sign on Bonus!! Relocation Bonus and More!!! Compassionate Veterinarians needed to make a difference in people’s lives!

We will relocate you to New Mexico for rotation and then relocate you to a second NVA-CF hospital anywhere nationwide for your next position. If you want to stay in New Mexico, we offer a retention bonus as well!!

Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is looking for an Overnight Emergency Clinician that can help create positive change in people’s lives through compassionate care for their pets. While working as part of our dynamic team you will provide quality veterinary care to our patients.

Who we are:

Our amazing team of caregivers are a positive group of people who create an atmosphere of calm even while dealing with the stress of emergency veterinary medicine. Route 66 Vet was created to provide a different experience for clients and employees alike. We aim to give back to our community by providing people with a caring compassionate atmosphere to bring their pets in a time of need. Our practice is expanding as the city of Albuquerque has embraced our hospital and has chosen it as the place for veterinary emergencies. We are expanding our talented team so we can care for our patients and clients while upholding our high customer service and exceptional medical standards.

Why New Mexico:

The Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is in the trendy Nob Hill neighborhood close to both the University of New Mexico and Sandia National Laboratory. Albuquerque is a growing city that has an abundance of sunshine. Nestled at the base of the Rocky Mountains we enjoy all 4 seasons with none of the sticky triple digit heated summer days. Albuquerque winters are mild yet sometimes we see a little snow. Mountain biking, hiking and world class skiing will be in your back yard! Our cost of living can’t be beat! Our housing market allows for very comfortable living on any budget.

New Building:

Our state-of-the-art, AAHA accredited, facility features digital radiology, endoscopy, advanced patient monitoring, telemetry, ultrasound, ligasure, fully equipped laboratory and entirely electronic medical records. Our new facility completed in November 2021 will allow us to care for more patients while allowing our veterinarians to have the space to comfortably practice.

Awesome Staff:

Our technical staff are composed of mainly registered veterinary technicians and assistants with years of emergency experience. Keeping a staffed hospital where our clients are cared for and our veterinarians are supported is extremely important to us. Our vets enjoy a three tech to one doctor ratio. We have a full time Veterinary Social Worker on staff to help support our staff emotionally as well as our clients.

Who we want:

We are looking for and enthusiastic, personable Veterinarian! Someone who can handle the medical aspects of the job while delivering compassion and care to our patients and clients. Emergency Veterinary medical experience is a must. Coaching and educating are important to us as we strive to create a collaborative environment where you can discuss and research cases among your colleagues.

Taking Care of our Staff:

Our business loves to give back! We ensure that our employees are cared for as well as our clients. We provide:

  • Competitive Salary
  • $75,000 signing bonus
  • Student Loan Debt Repayment assistance
  • 3 shift work week
  • Consistent predictable schedule
  • Harmonious work/ home life balance
  • Generous CE allowance
  • Paid CE days
  • Medical, Dental insurance and Vision
  • Mental Health coverage
  • Short term and Long Term Disability
  • Access to internal staff Social Worker
  • Professional Liability
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan

About Route 66 Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center
Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background. Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working. Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals. As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
