As a small practice we are able to offer a minimal number of externships to third and fourth year vet students or graduates only. Must have an interest in Sports Medicine and have transportation. Preference given to students wishing to pursue an internship. Externships are a minimum of one week, not to exceed two. Our caseload consists of horses in Western and English disciplines. Including hunter/jumpers, dressage, reining and barrel racing horses.
Please submit your Letter of intent including the specific dates and location for your visit, and resume. Three month notice is requried for scheduling purposes.

Bur Oak Sports Medicine and Lameness is a specialty practice based in Lexington, KY and Wellington, FL. We work on athletes that compete in the Western and English disciplines. This includes hunter/jumpers, dressage, reining and barrel racing horses. We are a busy, growing practice. Dr. Dryden is licensed in 11 states and travels to horse shows around the U.S.
