Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic, located in Summerville, SC, is looking for a Veterinarian to join our thriving Fear Free Certified practice!

Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic is the only Fear Free Certified Practice in Summerville, SC. We truly believe in treating our patients well and doing everything we can to make their visits more pleasant! We also have a wonderful team of smart, talented and compassionate individuals. They work hard, but always have fun while at work! Dr. Katie Hill is the owner of Cane Bay Veterinary Clinic and has been practicing for 10 years. She still loves practicing but is also very passionate about making sure her team has work-life balance. We strive to leave on time every night so we can get home to our families. Everyone on the team works 4 days per week, with no weekend hours and no on-call. We see 30-minute appointments and average 2-4 surgeries plus a few appointments and drop-offs on surgery days. We are still a locally and family-owned practice and intend to stay that way for the foreseeable future. The practice opened in early 2019 and is thriving due to the rapid growth in the surrounding communities. We have all the fun tools, from dental radiographs to therapy laser to hand-held ultrasound. The staff will tell you their favorite things about the clinic are each other, the people and pets we serve every day, and the vast and varied knowledge of our team. We are a pretty awesome group and if you want to be a part of the fun (we work hard, too), please send cover letter and resume to management@canebayvetclinic.com. We also encourage you to browse our online reputation on Google and Facebook and check out our website: canebayvetclinic.com

We are located just outside of Summerville, SC. It is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. We have many new restaurants and retail businesses within minutes of the clinic. We are forty minutes away from beautiful, historic Charleston, SC. The city is known for its historic character, antebellum architecture and fine dining. We are within an hour of several local beaches and three hours of the mountains. We also have several lakes and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature and the outdoors.

Join our awesome team where veterinary medicine is still fun and rewarding, financial success is possible, and professional growth and development is a must!

What You Will Do:

  • We are looking for someone to grow with our practice. Not only will you provide care to patients and education to clients, but you will also be able to contribute thoughts and ideas to support the clinic’s business strategy.
  • We also believe that veterinarians hold an innate leadership role in the clinic. We are here to support you in this role and help you achieve the highest levels of success while leading the team that you work with.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your professional interests with in-clinic mentorship and collaboration among doctors, as well as the opportunity to pursue continuing education.

Who We Want:

  • We are seeking a licensed veterinarian skilled in preventative care, dentistry, surgery and internal medicine. We would also be excited to mentor a new grad but would really want to dive into what this looks like for the new grad, as everyone is different in what they need to succeed.
  • It is important to have the technical skills to perform this job, but equally important to have the right attitude for the job. We are looking for someone who is team-oriented; compassionate towards patients, clients and their fellow team members; energetic, positive and has a good sense of humor. Having a desire to teach and learn is also important.
  • The individual who fills this role is expected to be a role model, exhibiting a positive, “can-do” attitude. This person should be ethical and accountable for their own actions and willing to contribute to the clinic by helping those around them learn and grow.

Benefits:

We offer an array of benefits including health insurance, vision and dental insurance; IRA with match, paid time off and paid holidays; pet discount and stipend for medical expenses; and a uniform allowance.  Additionally, with our commitment to the growth and development of our employees, we encourage and reimburse continuing education opportunities.

Compensation:

  • Pro – Sal with no negative accrual, base salary determined by experience.
