Pennell Veterinary Clinic

Pennell Veterinary Clinic is a small animal focused, two-doctor practice in Aston, Pennsylvania. Our doctors each have decades of experience in companion animal medicine and have attained immense knowledge in preventative care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dermatology, and more. Our doctors are supported by a tremendous support staff with six veterinary technicians who receive monthly training to ensure that their skills are current and sharp. Together we have formed a family of caring, growing, and successful professionals with some team members having been with Pennell Veterinary Clinic for more than twenty years. We invite an associate veterinarian from all levels of experience to join this family!

Our ideal veterinarian is someone who is confident, takes initiative, and is a team player. Interests in business/operations and ultrasound would also be a plus! With our doctors’ vast experience comes a passion for mentorship. Any new veterinarian would be able to shadow Dr. Syken while simultaneously carving out their own hours for appointments and surgeries. We are flexible and can provide whatever amount of supervision is requested. In addition to flexible hours and scheduling, our practice also does not have any on call expectations! 

Day to day we offer a wide array of services such as surgery, dentistry, cardiology, routine or acute exams, and more. To perform our services, we utilize equipment like digital radiology, full in-house laboratory, MSL laser, digitherm scanners, and more.

Aston is located in Delaware County, just 10 minutes from the Delaware River and 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Delaware County offers many recreational activities involving arts and theatre, wineries and breweries, parks and nature trails, sports, and more. It also is home to many great K-12 schools and colleges/universities! Aston itself is a very tight-knit community that loves to host local concerts, movie nights, and holiday celebrations. It will give you a smaller, family-oriented sense of community but still with easy access to the attractions and nightlife of Philadelphia!
