Lambs Gap Animal Hospital, located in Mechanicsburg, PA, is excited to add  a full-time associate veterinarian to join our team. Our hospital has proudly served Central Pennsylvania since 1995.  We see companion pets and exotics in our recently expanded and renovated space.  We are equipped with digital radiology (including dental), ultrasound, and full IDEXX in-house laboratory.  Our spacious facility offers five examination rooms, so each doctor can have their own personalized space.  We also have a dedicated room for end-of-life care with a separate entrance.  We support fear free and low stress handling methods.

Our current associates can attest that we are a family-oriented practice and work-life balance is very important to us!  A strong interest in surgery or dentistry is a plus, but not required. We want our doctors to enjoy their job and find their niche.  Our 4 doctors have years of experience (varying from 6 to 27 years) and are more than happy to mentor, so new grads are welcome!  Our doctors are supported by many long-term and highly skilled technicians, assistants, and staff. 

All of our staff have a set schedule to promote work-life balance. The associate veterinarian schedule is flexible so that you can work four longer days to have a day off during the week, or work five shorter shifts instead if preferred.  The position does include alternating Saturday morning shifts.  There are no on-call shifts, holiday shifts, or overnight hours. We are fortunate that our hospital is in close proximity to several 24-hour emergency facilities to accommodate emergency cases.

Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania is a great, family-friendly location.  We are within a short driving distance to beautiful state parks with plenty of hiking trails, as well as downtown Harrisburg with abundant nightlife, restaurants, and more!  We are also close to Hershey, PA…the sweetest place on earth!
