Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a locum DVM to serve hospitals in Oregon. This is a full-time position that will require travel to multiple hospitals throughout the state. Based on our current locations, candidates who live in the Greater Portland area or along Interstate 5 throughout the state will be best positioned for travel between our practices.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking to hire an experienced veterinarian who will easily adapt to each hospital’s culture/needs and is looking for a new adventure in the Pacific Northwest!

  • Experience executing high standards of care, while supporting the established relationships with the local community
  • Holds a true passion for fostering the well-being of pets and their families
  • Must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in Oregon

We know you have your choice to work at lot of great practices. So, why do we think you will love working as a WVP Locum DVM?

Great Practices: Our Oregon hospitals are well-established general practices that are dedicated to high standards of medicine and client care. As you rotate through our locations, you’ll find yourself at small animal practices, mixed animal practices, AAHA-accredited practices, practices that utilize Fear Free patient handling, and more! Although each of our locations are different, excellent medicine and well-trained support staff are a staple at them all.

Positive Team Cultures: Our Oregon locations will tell you that their hospital culture is team-oriented, laid back, and close-knit. Each practice strives to maintain a low-stress and easy-going atmosphere, so their staff, patients, and clients enjoy their time at each location.

Competitive Benefits: Western Veterinary Partners is committed to retaining excellent doctors and has established a competitive benefits program that focuses on work/life balance and allows our team to live a life of adventure.

  • $100,000 bonus program
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Flexible work schedule
  • 3 weeks PTO
  • CE through WVP Academy and annual allocation
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • Professional development assistance
  • Paid license renewal fees and membership dues
  • AVMA PLIT coverage
  • "Pack Gives Back" initiative (we’ll donate to the charity of your choice!)
  • Guidance from a DVM Advisory Board
  • Plus much more!

Oregon is FULL of Adventure! From sipping world-class wine, hiking, or horseback riding on the many public trails PNW national forests have to offer, Oregon is a lovely state full of activities for singles, couples, and families. In Oregon, you don’t have to choose between culture and the outdoors—you can have both! Portland is known for its world-renowned chefs and hundreds of food carts, outdoor street art and theaters, bookstores, and breweries. Drive South down Interstate 5 and you’ll hit the Salem wine country, followed by Roseburg, home to America’s deepest lake and the Highway of Waterfalls. As you make your way closer to the Oregon/California border, communities like Medford and Klamath Falls are perfect for sunshine and breathtaking views. Home to a more relaxed attitude and wide-open spaces, southern Oregon provides the much-needed renewal from the day-to-day grind of larger, hectic city lifestyles. No matter where you set roots in Oregon, you’re bound to find communities of hard-working people where tradition and heritage meet innovation and opportunity.

Western Veterinary Partners is a veterinary support organization that acquires and partners with leading veterinarians throughout the Western United States. Our mission is to improve the lives of partner veterinarians, staff, families, and pets by providing proven non-clinical business principles and support services, which allows partners to achieve balance and focus on enhancing the clinical experience. We have several locations throughout Oregon and the PNW that are committed to client education, see a range of patients, and vary between single-doctor and multi-doctor practices.
