Amazing opportunity to pioneer your own version of excellence in animal care in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.  We are seeking an enthusiastic Veterinarian who enjoys surgery and dentistry to lead our community-based practice. Veterinary Medical Center of Hardeeville is a new clinic, positioned in a busy shopping center with high visibility, efficiently designed to meet the needs of our team, our patients and their owners.  We are a privately owned; our sole focus is pet healthcare – no boarding, no grooming, no retail.  Our goal is to provide excellent customer service, client education and compassionate care, with no corporate interference.

The Lowcountry boasts a variety of activities including historic & cultural experiences in the nearby cities of Savannah, Beaufort, and Charleston. The temperate climate allows for endless year-round activities. Our towns offer numerous walking and biking trails, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding or simply enjoying your day off relaxing on the nearby beaches of Hilton Head Island.

We are offering endless possibilities for a take charge, experienced doctor or a highly motivated new graduate.  Initiate the work culture you have dreamed of, create your own legacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Practice in accordance with state practice act and principles of veterinary medical ethics
  • Use evidence-based medicine and continued pursuit of education to deliver quality patient
  • Devote yourself to the culture of preventive care.
  • Deliver medical and surgical treatments with approved pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment.
  • Partner with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide homecare instructions and education to ensure the lifelong health of their pets.
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive electronic medical records with the support of practice system, AVIMARK
  • Build and lead an effective veterinary team by communicating medical standards, ethical practices and sharing your veterinary knowledge & experience.

Requirements:

  • State Veterinary Board License (able to obtain South Carolina if not already licensed)
  • State Controlled Substance License (able to obtain South Carolina if not already licensed)
  • DEA License

NOTES:
2 openings.

Additional Salary Information: Salary based upon experience. Commission based structure negotiable.

Veterinary Medical Center is a locally owned & managed companion animal clinic, owned by an established veterinarian, not a corporation. While this is a new business venture for an established large animal veterinarian, he began practicing over ten years ago, locally in a small animal clinic. Our sole focus is pet healthcare. Or goal is to provide compassionate care, client education and superior customer service to out community.
