Overview

Ansley Animal Clinic is a neighborhood vet clinic located in the Morningside/Virginia Highlands area of Midtown.  We are currently looking for a full-time front desk receptionist willing to work a flexible schedule. Applicants should have at least 1-year office experience, 2-years customer service experience, and good general computer skills. Veterinary clinic experience is not required but is strongly preferred.

Saturday availability is a MUST as you will be required to work ~2-3 Saturdays a month (9am-1pm).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurate management of veterinary medical records
  • Appointment scheduling and management
  • Filing and responding to e-mails
  • Serving as a communication hub between clients, hospital staff, vendors, and referring hospital staff
  • Management of multiple phone lines
  • Accurate management of financial transactions

We are seeking a bright, energetic, detail-oriented person with strong oral and written communication skills. The charter of this role is to manage the flow of communication between clients and medical staff, to schedule appointments, maintain records and process transactions.

This is a high-volume and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to multi-task and has superior attention to detail. You will learn and understand veterinary medical terminology, and you must be able to maintain composure in a busy (and sometimes noisy) environment. We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, and extroverted personality to fill this role.

COVID-19 considerations:
We are currently not allowing non-staff members in the building, so most client communication happens over the phone. Ability to manage multiple phone lines accurately and efficiently is a MUST. Masks must be worn by staff members at all times. Applicants will have their temperature taken prior to entering the building at an in-person interview.

Hours

Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 6:30pm

Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm

Typically will work four days Monday-Friday, or three and a half days + Saturday.

To apply:

For consideration please email your cover letter and resume as a pdf to jobs@ansleyanimalclinic.com with the subject line ATTN: Front Desk

Potential candidates will be contacted. NO PHONE CALLS.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Customer Service, 2 years
  • Reception / Office Administration, 1 year
  • General Computer Skills, 3+ years
  • Medical or Veterinary, 1 year (Preferred, not required)
  • Multi-line phone management

Software Skills

  • ImproMed or other scheduling software (Preferred, not required)
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Benefits start after 3 months and include health insurance, dental insurance. After 6 months life insurance, 401k, paid holidays, and paid time off.

About Ansley Animal Clinic
Ansley Animal Clinic is a warm and well regarded small animal, full service veterinary clinic in the Ansley Park / Virginia Highlands and Morningside neighborhoods. ATLANTA MAGAZINE honored Ansley Animal Clinic for years. In the Feb 2009 "Best of Atlanta" issue, ATLANTA MAGAZINE wrote...
"The often-crowded waiting room tells you something: This is a beloved clinic, with a team of vets who take their time and do a great job handling nervous, anxious pets. The ladies at the front desk are calming, too."
We serve Ansley Park, Morningside, Virginia Highlands, Inman Park and Midtown Atlanta. Ansley Animal Clinic has operated at this location for over 30 years. We are longtime neighbors and residents of this area. This is a great place to live and work.
