A1 Vet Care started in 1986, in the home of Dr. Jeff and Sharon Poland, and has progressively grown and expanded over the years. In 1989 we built our current facility, and in 2020 it was updated to the practice you see today! We are currently a 2-doctor practice, looking to add a new veterinarian, who has that enthusiastic team player mentality, to our family! Our strong support staff is made up of 2 receptionists (one which has been with us for 29 years), one RVT, and two veterinary assistants. All of our staff is cross-trained, and enjoys working together as a team. Together we aim to be the best veterinary provider in Coshocton County, while still creating an excellent work environment for our staff!

We are seeking a new veterinarian to help manage both our new clients, and Dr. Poland’s current caseload. You will have the opportunity to obtain any surgery you desire, as long as you are eager to say “yes!”. Some of our equipment includes:

  • Digital Radiography,
  • Three Anesthesia Machines
  • Two Dental Units
  • Two Pulse Oximeters
  • Electro Surgical Unit

Our hours are 8:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturdays (doctors rotate to work every other Saturday), and we are closed on Sundays. We encourage doctors of all experience levels to apply, as our current doctors are enthusiastic to share their knowledge and mentor a new graduate.

At A1 Vet Care, our mission is to improve the lives of our veterinarians by providing you with comprehensive benefits:

  • Generous compensation package
  • Career path leadership and future managing opportunities
  • The customized, structured mentorship program
  • Generous vacation time
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • CE Allowances
  • Relocation assistance available

Equal Employment Opportunity

It is the policy of the company to afford equal opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, non-disqualifying disability or status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran.

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
