Small Animal Veterinarian

Salmon Brook is an AAHA accredited, Fear Free veterinary hospital looking to add to our growing small animal veterinary team.  We are a mixed animal practice located in picturesque Granby, CT treating large animals, small animals, and exotics.  We are a private partner owned 9 doctor practice, with a support staff ratio of 6:1.  Our veterinarians have the support they need to provide excellent care to our clients and their pets.  We are committed to nurturing the client patient bond from birth to geriatric.  We offer a wide range of surgical and dental care options.  The cases are diverse, interesting, and challenging while still maintaining a fair life/work balance, and a manageable caseload. 

We are a paperless hospital and use Impromed as our practice software.  Our lab and telemedicine seamlessly integrate with our software making it easy to look at results and consultations right in the patients record.  Our facility is well-equipped with digital radiography with Agfa Musica software, ultrasound, digital dental with Sopix software, laser therapy, and separate surgical and dental suites.  Our in-house laboratory includes an Idexx Catalyst and Procyte analyzers, urine sedivue, digital cytology and SNAP Pro Analyzers which are all integrated with the Impromed medical records.

We take employee well being seriously and offer a generous salary based on a Pro/Sal compensation model, 401 (k), family medical, 15 days of PTO, pet benefits, professional dues, liability coverage and a competitive continuing education allowance.  Our scheduling varies; however, most will work an alternating 4-day and 5-day work week with a weekend rotation and no weekday on call shifts.
