Want a career, not just a job?

Want to work in a beautiful setting with windows to enjoy the view?

Want to work with a dedicated parastaff that works hard every day to make sure your patients are getting the best care?

We have what you want at Otterkill Animal Hospital.

We have a 30 year reputation seeing small animals and the occasional exotic. Otterkill has been AAHA accredited for over 20 years.

We have all range of clients, and we love to educate them all to make them part of their pet's healthcare team. We believe an educated client makes our jobs easier, and so we are willing to spend the extra time to give handouts and have the long conversations.

We are looking for a full time or part time associate veterinarian who wants to join a true team with a family atmosphere.

We'd love someone with an interest in exotics and/or wildlife rehab. We also would love an associate with strong surgery skills, but are willing to accommodate all levels and interests.

If you want to learn more about joining The Otters, please email your resume.

We strive to:

  • Promote the significance of the human-animal bond and provide concurrent medical and emotional care to our animal patients and human clients, respectively.
  • Treat every one of our patients as if he or she were part of our own family. Every animal is someone’s loved one.
  • Be responsive to our clients because their trust is an honor.
  • Educate our clients, making them a vital part of our health care team.
  • Maintain a well-trained and continually educated staff, providing them with an enjoyable and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to the Standards for Veterinary Hospitals as promulgated by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
  • Follow environmentally sound principles, using recycled materials and recycling waste materials where possible.

 Qualifications-

  • License in good standing in state of NY, or ability to become licensed in NY
  • Passionate and outgoing personality
  • Commitment to practicing the highest quality of medicine
  • Commitment to professional growth

We offer a benefit package which includes medical, dental, 401k, life insurance, time off and CE reimbursement.
