Premier Veterinary Group is seeking a Medical Director who is looking to expand their career to the next level at our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Referral Hospital in Grayslake, Illinois.   

The Medical Director position is a dual role that allows a unique individual to practice veterinary medicine and be responsible for the oversight of medical operations within the hospital.  The role serves as a mentor to staff and leads the advancement of high-quality patient care with a focus on excellent client service. The Medical Director will also work in collaboration with the Hospital Director to maintain and build our relationships with the referring community. 

Under the direction of the Regional Medical Director, this person will collaborate with our other hospitals within the Ethos network to evaluate and implement best practices. The Medical Director at Grayslake will play a significant part in the decision-making process and implementation of any new initiatives within their hospital. 

We are seeking individuals who are technically-advanced in their field and possess strong emotional intelligence; those that are self-aware, have positive attitudes, authenticity empathy toward others. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership abilities, strong mentoring and team building skills, excellent communication with colleagues and the referring community, and possess a foundation of business skills to work alongside the Hospital Director to support the growing success of the hospital. 

About Us: Premier Veterinary Group has been long established in the Chicago area for over 20 years. Our facility is located in Grayslake, IL which is less than 10 miles from the Wisconsin/Illinois border and 1-hour drive to downtown Chicago. We serve a large and busy group of referring veterinary hospitals. Our hospital is about 7,500 square feet with 2 surgical suites equipped for minimally invasive procedures. Current specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Emergency. Offsite rehab is available. Our specialists and emergency doctors are supported by an amazing group of technicians, client care representatives and management team. We have full scoping capabilities, fluoroscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound and CT scan are available in our hospital.
