Medway Animal Hospital is anything but your normal veterinary practice!

Sure, we have loyal clients that trust our doctors and comply with recommended treatment plans.

Of course we have boarded specialists rotating through the hospital on a regular basis who are more than happy to share their knowledge and skills with aspiring radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons.

Emergencies and on-call hours?  Not with multiple 24 hour referral hospitals in close proximity!  And for our in-house work we are "fully loaded" with an in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiology (both general and dental), surgery suite, ultrasound, and Impromed sorftware.

Quality of life?  Let's talk about the endless benefits of living right outside one of the most educated, healthy, and livable cities in a state that is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in America!

What about compensation and benefits?  Our package has to be seen to be believed.

All of these factors are par for the course, so what is it that makes Medway Animal Hospital so special?  It's simple.  MAH is that elusive unicorn - a privately owned, multi-doctor practice with a steady, experienced staff that support one another day in and day out.  This remarkable combination of attributes comes together to create an environment that will remind you why you went into veterinary medicine in the first place and will result in a job that you actually look forward to each morning!  Let's dig into why the MAH magic works:

PRIVATELY OWNED:  No corporate guidelines will dictate the medicine you practice.  Even better, your  hours, clients and compensation aren't determined by an algorithm or an HR department - they are determined by you and the owner, working together to create the type of win-win-win situations that keep doctors, clients, and practice managers happy.  What's more, there are ample opportunities to explore personal interests including medical specialties and the nuances of practice management if you so desire!

MULTI-DOCTOR:  Having 5+ doctors on full-time staff means flexibility!  You have immense control over how and when you spend your time at the practice.  Need an emergency day off?  Good thing you've got five other doctors you can call for back-up!  Never mind the fact that you've got a combined 100+ years of veterinary experience at your fingertips for those "what exactly am I looking at here" moments!

SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT:  Most of our staff have been here for a long time, and one thing we've learned is when you spend this much time together you've got to be committed to helping each other out and, when necessary, holding each other up.   We are a close knit group who strive to make our office a place full of fun, support, compassion, and friendship.  Join us, and you'll be joining a team that understands how important it is to feel happy and satisfied in your work.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited veterinary program
  • All the usual attributes of a "good vet" desired: professional but compassionate, competent and skilled, "team player," sense of humor a plus, etc.
  • Interest in developing specialized medical, surgical, or management skills a plus
  • Full or part-time availability
