Pooler Veterinary Hospital, located on the southeast Georgia coast, near Savannah, is seeking a full-time Practice Manager. Experience is highly desired and CVPM preferred, but not required. Manager must enjoy working toward the overall goals of the practice and organization to provide a structured and healthy work environment, that keeps the practice on it's current trajectory for success. As a VMG member hospital, we have many opportunities  and resources available to us, that can be better utilized by a dedicated Practice Manager. Candidate should be committed to use all managerial talents, to promote an efficient, profitable practice, which fully supports it employees and to uphold its' reputation as one of the most respected practices in the area.

The work environment is upbeat, supportive, and conducive to good life/work balance. A full-time schedule would require a four day work week. Our location provides many opportunities for outdoor activities and is rich in history and culture. As expected of a Manager, or any professional, work outside these hours may be necessary depending on certain situations, as they arise.

In addition to five experienced veterinarians, we employ a supportive staff of trained RVT's and competent assistants allowing you to focus on promoting a professional environment that will allow our team to provide the highest quality of service.  Our digitally integrated medical records and easily accessible data reports, will allow precise evaluation of the hospitals performance, and with proper knowledge, allow a competent manager to make sure we are operating as efficiently as possible.

Without much emphasis on advertisement, community involvement, or self promotion the practice has experienced 500% growth over 6 years, showing a healthy 3M in annual revenues for 2020.  Construction of a new 10000 sq ft facility is expected to be completed by August 2021,  which will further allow us to accommodate our growth, and drives our desire to hire a full time Practice Manager

Since inception, the practice has been managed by the owning veterinarian, who would initially provide insight on the practice goals, protocols, and current practices.  Owner is aware that an experienced manager would make changes and provide further insight into better management practices. Practice owner will be very supportive of managers ideas and decisions.  Currently the accounts are balanced and all accounts are paid in full.   A detailed employee handbook is in place and rule for employment are in place. Practice owner is willing to hand over management responsibilities to a highly competent manager and is willing to compensate accordingly.

Manager's responsibilities would involve staff management and development, coordination of protocols with staff, HR, accounts management, financial tracking and budgeting, efficiency improvement, inventory monitoring, and improved marketing for business promotion. Many resources are already in place to assist with these responsibilities.

Our attention to detail, patient care, and client education have built a very loyal clientele, which will be very welcoming to a new manager. Applicant must have impeccable organization skills and self-driven to achieve goals. Must be able to work well in a team environment, but direct progress and reprimand when necessary, be willing to invest time in growing relationships that facilitate mutual respect, accurately evaluate practice performance compared to best industry practices, then make changes needed to improve production and efficiency. The position offers competitive starting base salary reflective of qualifications and successful experience ( $60000-75000) and sign-on/relocation bonus of $3000, with benefits to include matching IRA, paid CE, paid vacation, uniform allowance, health insurance reimbursement, professional association dues, licensing fees, and an opportunity to enjoy your chosen profession each day

I look forward to reviewing your application and discussing your future with you.

CVPM desired; Experience with practice data analysis, budgeting, Quickbooks, marketing, HR, conflict resolution, support staff hiring/interviewing, staff meeting preparation, IT support/troubleshooting, client communication and relations,

NOTES:
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
