North Star Veterinary Hospital is searching for a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join our team! Established in 1992, our hospital has grown into a six doctor practice built on compassion, integrity and communication. We have developed a culture that encourages teamwork, community involvement and high quality standards of medical and client services.

We are a progressive hospital that provides preventative, dental, surgical, integrative, orthopedic and emergency services. With a high staff to doctor ratio that allow our doctors to focus on patient care and client communication.  Our well trained and friendly staff and the newest in equipment enable our doctors to have rewarding outcomes with medicine, surgery, chiropractic and acupuncture patients. 

Upon joining our team, the successful candidate enters a customized on-boarding program personally tailored to ensure that the transition onto our team is thorough and thoughtful.  Colleague and senior mentorship coupled with regular staff and doctor meeting allow our team to work closely and fosters a family-oriented passion for excellence.

 We are located in the Carolina Sandhills and close to beaches, lakes, mountains and many outdoor activities that attract new residents from all over and is one of many reasons that our practice continues to grow and thrive.

  • Provide Compassionate Care to Patients
  • Perform medical, surgical and dental procedures; provides emergency services in accordance with hospital standards of care.
  • Perform physical examinations using preliminary date provided by the veterinary technicians; diagnoses physical condition and presents diagnostic and treatment alternatives to the client being sensitive to their emotional as well financial needs.
  • Communicates objectives, motivates staff, builds and maintains morale; maintains core values and standards.
  • Promotes cooperative working environment among staff members; understands the value of teamwork; shows enthusiasm and willingness to perform as necessary to help the practice function as a unit.
  • Provide emergency after-hours care (compensated, rotating schedule).
