Independent Portland Practice - Associate Veterinarian

The Back Cove Animal Hospital is looking to add an experienced full or part-time veterinarian to join our recently-opened, locally owned veterinary hospital in Portland. The Back Cove Animal Hospital is 100% veterinarian owned and operated by our Portland-based veterinarians!

Come join a compassionate and progressive group of Fear Free Certified veterinary professionals, in our beautiful and modern waterfront facility overlooking the Back Cove and just steps from the Back Cove Trail. Our practice has been thoughtfully designed to match our practice philosophy of maximizing employee, client and patient well-being and comfort. We are a paper-less practice utilizing EzyVet cloud-based software and exceptionally equipped with digital radiology (including a designated dental suite), ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, therapeutic and surgical laser, advanced anesthetic monitoring and dedicated cat waiting, exam and treatment areas.

We are a "high-touch" practice focused on providing an exceptional client and patient experience and operate with 30-minute appointments. With a high staff to veterinarian ratio, our veterinarians are provided the time and support to focus on medicine and client communication.

Our veterinarians do not provide overnight or on-call services, but we do offer an after-hours tele-triage service through a third-party to help support our clients.

The ideal candidate has at least 3-years of experience working in a veterinary hospital.
