Regional Technician Director

This position will support the greater Bay Area portions of Northern California and must reside within this area.

The Regional Technician Director is dedicated to the quality care of all clients and their pets through the development, mentorship and leadership of veterinary technicians and assistants. This is achieved by keeping VCA’s mission, medical initiatives and standards in the forefront at all times, and empowering our technicians and assistants to do the same. The goal of this position will be to support the hospitals by developing and engaging current technician and assistant teams through validated resources, culture of collaboration and networking. There will be a concentrated effort to build and cultivate relationships with external tech schools and professional organizations as well. The Regional Technician Director will leverage these goals to concentrate on elevating medical quality, team and patient safety along with establishing a roadmap for career advancement, retention of team members and to attract new team members to VCA. They will lead collaborate with the field team and hospital leadership teams.

The Regional Technician Director is responsible for the mentorship, leadership and medical growth of veterinary technicians and assistants within the assigned regions/geography determined by the Senior Operator to whom they report.

Required: CA Registered Veterinary Technician Licensure or, if licensed in another state, ability to obtain within 90 days.

Preferred: Veterinary Technician Specialty
