Seeking a FT Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Sutton Road Animal Hospital, a well-established (over 48 years) three-doctor, small animal practice located in Streamwood, Illinois, a Northwest suburb of Chicago.  Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and proficiency in medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, as well as possess a positive and friendly demeanor with the desire and ability to cultivate great working relationships with both staff and clients.   If a desire to lead and manage exists, the opportunity to transition into Medical Director is also available.  Ultimately, our hope is to match your professional and personal goals with our practice's needs!

Our mission is to provide the highest quality veterinary services to our clients in a comfortable, well-equipped hospital, while maintaining a fun, supportive, and friendly work environment and a team of dedicated associates.    We encourage a team approach to both challenging cases, as well as the everyday flow of business.   We have a great support staff, and client care coordinators that schedule appointments with the doctor's time and smooth clinic operations in mind.  Patients seen are primarily dogs and cats.

Our associate veterinarians average 34.5 hours/week with ample time off.  After hour emergencies are handled by nearby emergency clinics.  We believe that a good balance of work and personal time is needed for a healthy mind and body.   The area offers plenty of opportunities for entertainment, shopping and dining, as well as outdoor sports, biking, hiking, boating and fishing.

Sutton Road has been recently renovated both inside and out.  The hospital is well-equipped with digital x-ray and dental radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, high speed dental unit, heated surgical table, LED surgical lights, complete IDEXX in-house lab, and Cornerstone Practice Management System.  All to allow for thorough work-ups and treatment.

Competitive salary, signing bonus up to $10,000, AVMA dues, CVMA dues, annual state license renewal, DEA license fee, AVMA PLIT liability coverage, professional attire expenses (e.g. lab coats and scrubs), $1500 CE per year (can be used for travel), 15 days paid time off per year, 401(k), health, dental, vision, short term disability and life insurance, and discounted veterinary care are provided.
