Maywood Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced associate veterinarian to join our team. We are a multi- doctor, progressive, fast paced, AAHA accredited hospital with a rapidly growing client base. We are looking for a dynamic associate who is eager to provide high quality medicine to our patients and compassion and understanding to our clients.

Practicing high quality medicine is made easier with our in-house laboratory, digital radiography, surgical and therapy lasers, laparoscopy, electronic medical records and visiting specialists.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual committed to practicing the highest standard of medicine with a genuine compassion for pets and clients. In addition, good communication skills, appropriate time management skills and the ability to work hours designed to suit our clients’ needs are critical. Maywood Veterinary Clinic is  also certified by the American Animal Hospital Association.

We provide care to a variety of species, from dogs and cats to exotic pets. Every patient has access to our advanced veterinary technology in pet wellness care, diagnostics, and veterinary surgery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Builds a rapport with clients
• Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, nutritional needs and preventative treatment
• Performs physical exams and diagnostic-surgical-medical and dental procedures that delivers the highest quality care
• Stays current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
• Maintains client-patient medical/surgical records
• Assists in the development of our team to ensure the highest quality of care and exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

• DVM/VMD degree
• Licensure in good standing in NJ or ability to become licensed in NJ
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
• Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients
• Commitment to ongoing educational growth
