Mixed Animal Veterinary Externship

A shared 1-4 week externship program between Alpine Equine and Alpine Animal Hospital. 3 FTE Small animal (w/Dr Marron D ACVD) 2 FTE equine GP Veterinarians, 1 mixed animal Intern, multiple Office Staff, certified technicians, veterinary tech assistants between practices;  Type of Practice: equine (60 % ambulatory/40% in-house), companion animal hospital Facilities: Clinical facility 10,400 square feet with separate ruminant and equine isolation facilities.

A Medical/Repro/Surgery facility with 4 indoor stalls and lameness/treatment areas. The practice is equipped for digital radiology, ultrasonography, focused shock wave, and endoscopy. PRP and IRAP processing. Surgery suite inhalant anesthesia/ventilator for routine and elective procedures and emergency (hernias, crypts, enucleations, soft tissue) procedures

THIS MIXED ANIMAL program IS GEARED TOWARDS LEARNING  and is split between two businesses (Alpine Equine and Alpine Animal Hospital. Areas of training include: Dentistry, Radiology, Reproduction, Practice Management, Client Education, Fluid Therapy, Laboratory, Pediatrics. General Medicine, Horse Show Medicine, Ultrasonography,  Endoscopy, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Technical Skills, Lameness, Complementary and Rehabilitative programs/therapies.

This is a volunteer position with on site housing provided
