Associate Veterinarian

VCA Met Vet West Animal Hospital is expanding our veterinary team!  

We are a 3 doctor, AHHA accredited practice looking for a Full Time Associate to better accommodate the needs of our ever growing client and patient base. We're looking for a go-getter veterinarian with top-notch communication, medical and surgical skills who loves what they do and has fun doing it!  This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate who wants the challenge of a busy hospital, the support of a great support staff, unlimited earning potential, and the luxury of having faithful, long time clients who genuinely love their doctors!

Established in 2000, our hospital is located 10 miles West of downtown Pittsburgh in a progressive, suburb with affordable housing and a great variety of retail stores and restaurants. We're close to the Pittsburgh International Airport and rural living is available nearby.  We treat dogs, cats, and also exotic, avian, and pocket pets. We offer routine and limited emergency care. Our doctors enjoy thoroughly working up cases and communicating with pet owners. We pride ourselves in doing everything that we can to welcome, please, and educate our guests.  This is a busy practice & the caseload is always interesting.  Technicians are on the premises at all times for 24-hr care of hospitalized patients, plus our Medical Director is on-call 24/7 to help associates. No on call or overnights and we're open to discussing your schedule needs!

You will have the support of a well-trained tech team which is composed of mostly LVT's and experienced assistants.  Our client service representatives are all smiles!  The hospital is EMR, has ultrasound, digital radiology, and dental radiology.  We are close to several specialty and referral hospitals.  All of our veterinarians work together well on cases. VCA supports the CE needs of its associates and offers encouragement and resources to pursue an approved special interest (such as advanced surgical skills).
