Associate Veterinarian (FT/PT): SeaPort Veterinary Hospital in Gloucester, MA

SeaPort Veterinary Hospital in Gloucester, MA is looking to add a primary care veterinarian to our three doctor team. We are a modern, paperless, full-service, small animal hospital located in the nation’s oldest seaport. We treat cats, dogs, exotics and local wildlife. We provide comprehensive general medical, surgical and dental care, in-house ultrasound and digital radiology.

Peer collaboration and mentorship is the norm at our hospital. We’re looking for candidates that want to learn, grow and participate in a team environment. Experienced candidates are preferred, but capable new graduates will be considered and mentored. Appointments are 30-60 minutes in length depending on the case, providing ample time to complete case work by the end of the scheduled shift.

We have a compassionate, experienced team of receptionists, technicians and technician assistants. We hold frequent department huddles, monthly staff meetings and monthly doctor meetings to keep communication flowing. We have built a culture of respect and professionalism while highly valuing the need to laugh and lean on each other for support.

The position can be part or full time. There are no on-call or emergency hours. Salary is competitive and based on experience. Part and full time benefits are available (Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO health plan, life insurance, disability insurance, 401K, Employee Assistance Program, three weeks paid time off, clothing allowance, $1500 CE budget, and employee discount on pet care).

Please submit a cover letter, CV, and three references (two professional, from different previous jobs).

Gloucester is a family friendly community and offers a rich cultural experience. It is well known for its beautiful beaches, parks and wooded trails, and its thriving downtown district is highlighted by historic monuments, restaurants, independent coffee shops and a microbrewery. It’s a great place to live, work and play!
