What is your dream job as an associate veterinarian?

A hospital with a well trained, hard working and enthusiastic staff.

-The staff at Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is made up of an extraordinary group of highly skilled individuals that genuinely enjoy working together as a team. Each doctor has a team of two nurses running appointments and assisting on surgery days.  Our Nurses are proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, restraint, anesthesia monitoring/surgery support, dental cleaning, radiology and cytology. Our staff has a very low turnover rate and is composed of an amazing group of people who make your day at work enjoyable.

A hospital that provides resources, staff, and time necessary to practice high quality medicine.

-Thirty minute appointments ensure adequate time for our patients. Our veterinary assistants gather patient history, prepare vaccines, draw blood, fill prescriptions, and enter charges leaving time for the veterinarian to examine patients and talk with clients. Our Hospital has five exam rooms, a large treatment area as well as surgery and ultrasound suites. We have a feline side to the practice with a separate lobby allowing for a less stressful visit with our feline patients. Our fully equipped hospital includes digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, blood pressure, DRE anesthesia monitors, surgical laser, and paperless medical records. No emergency duty, boarding, or grooming. Easy access to specialists (two ER/Specialty Hospitals within 15 minutes).

Great clients, patients and a wonderful place to live.

-Carmel consistently ranks as one of the top 10 best cities to live in the US, with lots of green space, a vibrant downtown with recreational and fitness opportunities, energetic arts scene, great restaurants, excellent schools, and all the amenities and conveniences one could hope for. We have a wonderful well educated, affluent client base that is very responsive to providing the best care for their pets.

A place to grow and develop skill sets as a veterinarian.

-Dr McDaniel and Dr Bassett have a strong desire to provide support and guidance for the next generation of veterinarians.  They have over 60 years of combined experience and have worked in specialty/ER hospitals before starting Hazel Dell Animal Hospital. They can think of no better legacy than to help prepare and mentor their associates to be successful in this wonderful profession.  Hazel Dell’s membership in Veterinary Study Groups provides additional exceptional opportunities for outside training in medical/surgical skills and career development.

To be appreciated and well compensated as a veterinarian.

    - A signing bonus, generous base salary coupled with production allows for a salary of $85,000 to $100,000+ to new grads and a salary of $100,000 to $125,000+ to more seasoned practitioners. Benefits include group health insurance, generous health savings account, 401K with Safe Harbor match, CE, etc.

Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time veterinarian to join our current 4.5 doctor staff. We are a long-term AAHA-accredited, AAFP Gold-certified, member of Veterinary Study Groups and dedicated to investment in our practice and people. Our culture is one of patient care, client education and customer service of the highest quality with an emphasis on treating patients as though they were our own, treating clients and each other with respect and appreciation, and building relationships.

Interested individuals should call or text 317-850-7698 (Dr. Greg McDaniel) or 317-403-1077 (Dr. Clark Bassett) or email hazeldelldvms@sbcglobal.net.
