Small Animal &/or Exotics Veterinarians

Southern Ocean Animal Hospital is a well-established, award winning, privately owned small animal general practice that prides itself on its family-centric atmosphere. We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional associate veterinarian with exceptional service-oriented people skills, positive attitude, and upbeat personality who can take charge, offer direction, and multi-task in a consistently busy, team-oriented environment. Full time and/or part time positions are available. Experienced practitioners as well as new graduates that are eager to learn are welcomed to apply. We value the client-doctor time that allows us to provide the best medicine to our patients and we do not expect our doctors to rush through short appointment blocks. New graduates will be offered significant mentorship and the opportunity to grow their salary as they progress.

The practice is managed by Cornerstone software and we have advanced equipment including digital full body and dental x-ray, IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment (Procyte, Catalyst, Sedivue), flexible video gastroscope/endoscope/otoscope, therapy laser, ultrasound, high speed dental unit, cryogenic surgery, gas anesthesia and advanced anesthetic monitoring (ECG, BP, SpO2, Temp, CO2). We also have access to a dental specialist and ultrasonographer that see cases at our facilities weekly.

We strive to be good neighbors by participating in community out-reach as often as possible.

Schedule is typically a 5-day work week which includes a weekend obligation of 2 Saturdays per month, however, there are no after-hours emergencies. Ideal candidate should be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, and a desire to participate in practice growth and staff development.

We are conveniently located just a few minutes from the Garden State Parkway, 15 minutes from Long Beach Island, and 30 minutes from Atlantic City. Competitive salary based on experience.
