North Boulder Companion Animal Hospital in Boulder, CO is looking for a full-time Veterinarian to join our team!

North Boulder Companion Animal Hospital is a full service small animal hospital that cares for dogs, cats, and exotics. Our hospital is located in an affluent area and we have well-established clientele, so we are able to practice the highest level of medicine and our clients are wonderful about following our recommendations. We are fully equipped with an in-house Abaxis lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, laser surgery unit, and cold laser. We use AVImark for our electronic medical records. Furthermore, we utilize the services of board- certified surgeons to perform orthopedic surgeries and board-certified radiologists to perform ultrasounds and advanced diagnostics as needed.

Our medical director, Dr. Sue Patton, founded North Boulder Companion Animal in 1993 and has been providing exceptional care to the pets of Boulder County ever since. Dr. Patton has worked hard to create a collaborative environment and well-trained support staff. Several of our technicians are certified or currently in school to become certified veterinary technicians. We have 4 technicians and 10 veterinary assistants, so you would be fully supported in appointments and surgery. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience, enjoys seeing appointments, performing soft tissue surgeries and dentistries, and treating the occasional exotic pet (only about 5% of the caseload).  You can find out more about our hospital at https://northbouldervet.com/.

Boulder, Colorado is an amazing location for all ages and was ranked as the best city to live in the US in 2021! It is located at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, allowing for endless outdoor activities like trail running, hiking, cycling, and rock climbing. In addition to the mountains, Boulder is known for its art, focus on health and quality of life, and education. Other fun activities include tubing down Boulder Creek, shopping and dining at the Pearl Street Mall, having a delicious sandwich at Half Fast Subs on the Hill or Snarfs, and visiting the 22 breweries in Boulder. Boulder is only an hour south of Rocky Mountain National Park if you prefer hiking at even higher elevations and an hour and a half northeast of some of Colorado’s best ski areas. Furthermore, Denver is only 40 minutes southeast, so you can easily get to the city to enjoy the nightlife, restaurants, or one of Denver’s six professional sports teams.

At North Boulder, we take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance. We offer a great compensation package, including a competitive salary, health insurance, 401K, PTO, generous CE allowance, additional PTO for CE, and reimbursement for membership dues and license fees. If this sounds like a team you want to be a part of, please email your resume to Dr. Shelly Wazyniak at swazyniak@petvetcarecenters.com or apply at https://www.petvetcareers.com/.
