Certified Veterinary Technician (hiring bonus!)

Airport Animal Hospital in Duluth, MN is accepting applications for employment as a Veterinary Technician.

Airport Animal Hospital is a very busy canine, feline, and exotics companion animal practice serving the Duluth & Hermantown area of northeastern Minnesota for over 40 years. Our current team includes 5 DVMs, 3 receptionists, and 9 veterinary technicians. Our support staff works in a very collaborative and supportive way helping us succeed as a team for the good of our patients, our clients, and each other. In July of 2018 we finished a complete remodel and expansion of our veterinary hospital and are enjoying the many wonderful benefits that our new, larger facility offers us.  We have a very modern and well equipped hospital including digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasound, and photobiomodulation laser therapy. We enjoy regularly working with board certified specialists in dermatology and surgery who help make the highest level of care and expertise readily available to our clients and patients.  Our regular hours of operation are 7:30 a.m-5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  You will share in rare evening and weekend hospitalized patient care responsibilities with the DVM managing the case on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include working as a lab technician collecting patient samples and performing diagnostic testing, as a surgery technician managing & monitoring anesthesia, as a DVM assistant restraining patients for physical exams & treatments and providing client education, and providing compassionate and attentive nursing care to admitted patients.  Key attributes needed for success include high personal integrity, dedicated work ethic and reliability, good communication, the ability to work well with coworkers to maximize the effectiveness of our team, and a strong desire to provide the best care to our patients.
