Best Pets Veterinary Hospital is a well-managed, full service, small animal hospital 30 minutes from Boston in Tewksbury, MA offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Veterinarian.  We are independently owned and looking for a progressive professional who wants to contribute new ideas to the practice and potentially buy into the business.  We value your career progress and are happy to have you bring your own special interests.

  • Work directly with our two very experienced DVMs who have a broad range of skills and over 30 years’ experience.
  • We have a brilliant Practice Manager and a high Vet tech/DVM ratio to make your job easier
  • Our hospital is a spacious facility that is well equipped to handle a wide variety of medical emergency and surgery cases.
  • We are a community-based animal care practice in a friendly neighborhood.
  • Our customers love the undivided attention their pets get, and we just won our 5th straight Reader’s Choice award for the Best Veterinarian in the Region!

Pay: (salary + incentive) $135,000 - $175,000 plus Sign-On Bonus

Job Description:  Flexible schedule (3 to 4 days/week).  We offer attractive work hours, no on call or emergency duty required and we are closed on major holidays and Sundays.  Must be skilled in general medicine, routine surgery, and interest in dentistry a plus.  Our practice respects and values our employees’ personal/work balance.  Your career will progress with new modalities like progressive pain management, ultrasound, and laser.

Hospital environment:  Our practice philosophy focuses on exceptional patient care and does not dictate practice protocol.  We do not offer boarding or grooming so that we can focus only on the medical needs of our patients.  We offer supportive mentorship opportunities with our highly experienced veterinarians on staff and our in-house orthopedic surgeon and boarded cardiologist support.  You will find a high staff to vet ratio and our cohesive team has an excellent time working together.  Our internships have consistently produced numerous future veterinarians and veterinary nurses.  You will have fun during our team-building events.  Our modern technology includes cloud-based and paperless practice software running on tablet technology.  Our treatment room is newly renovated and features a mobile lift-table, brand new medical devices: GE ultrasound; digital dental x-ray; digital general x-ray; Tonovet and Idexx lab equipment.

Benefits: You will find our practice uniquely rewarding including Student debt payoff, Incentive based pay, 401k plan with matching contributions, Medical benefits (choice of 15 health plans and dental), paid Vacation, Holidays, Vision, Life insurance, Disability, generous Pet care discounts, Continuing education and growth potential.  Ask about our signing bonus.  We have a team environment that rewards individual commitment.
