Associate Veterinarian

We are a mixed animal practice in west central Indiana with an associate Veterinary position open.  Our locations include Veedersburg, Rockville, Greencastle, and Clinton.  There are currently 17 veterinarians and 9 technicians among the four clinics with the practice make-up being roughly 70% small animal and 30% large animal.  The large animal component consists of bovine, equine, and to a lesser extent small ruminant and swine. 

We currently have a position open at our Rockville location.  Rockville is the county seat of Parke county.  It is primarily an agricultural community and is well known for its historic covered bridges.  The agriculture is primarily cattle and grain farms, but we certainly see all the domestic farm species.  The associate position would be 60% small and 40% large animal with a role in the emergency rotation. 

All veterinarians practice both small and large animal medicine.  However, our practitioners are encouraged to explore areas of interest and specialization.  We presently have veterinarians offering equine reproduction, bovine ultrasound/embryo transfer, small animal ultrasound diagnostics, canine behavior, alternative medicine, canine reproduction, small animal orthopedic surgery, and canine rehabilitation.  There are a variety of practitioner tenures, ranging from two years to over 30 years of experience.  More information regarding our practice can be found on our website at www.westcentralvet.com.

A practice truck will be provided as well as all equipment, coveralls, and smocks.  The clinics operate as separate entities with the individual clinics covering emergencies for their respective locations.  Veterinarians receive 40% of the gross revenue for all after-hours emergencies.  Other benefits provided include paid vacation, malpractice insurance, medical insurance, and an annual continuing education allowance (with additional paid time off).  We encourage our doctors to seek continuing education that best fits their current needs whether it be on a state or national basis.  A competitive salary will be discussed based upon a mutual interest in the position.
