A Full time or part time Veterinarian with a valid NYS license
Strong leadership and communication skills with interest to always improve these skills
Proficiency in medicine and surgery
One plus years of experience required
Someone who manages time and tasks appropriately
Commitment to on going education development and growth

About Rio Vista Veterinary Hospital

Rio Vista Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned small animal facility in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. The practice founder retired in 2016 which brought the practice under new ownership. This change has brought about tremendous client growth as well as new diagnostic equipment. We are highly focused on client education and preventative medicine.

Our 6,000 sq foot facility offers 4 exam rooms and separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats. A fully equipped surgical suite with advanced monitoring equipment (pulse ox, blood pressure, ECG, and temperature) cautery unit, and highly trained licensed veterinary technicians and support staff.

Digital Radiology and In house ultrasound (cardiology equipped) with a board certified radiologist via Telemedicine as part of our diagnostic team.
Digital dental radiology, wet sink and ultrasonic dental equipment with high and low speed drill capabilities. In-house laboratory capabilities for blood chemistries (Idexx Catalyst & Lasercyte System), urinalysis (Idexx Sedivue with I-pad for diagnostic discussions with clients), PCV & TP, and in house snap test reader. We have a daily pick up for full access to outside laboratories (pathology, and preventative care diagnostic bundles).

Digitherm Thermal Imaging
Working towards fear free certification with low stress handling techniques and use of phermones already in place.

Welcome to the Finger lakes!
Painted Post is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Painted Post is located just outside the bustling small city of Corning. Spend your free time playing with glass at the famous Corning Museum of Glass, hiking any of the local state parks including Watkins Glen and visiting the Gorges of Ithaca. There is plenty of water in our region for boating or kayaking adventures. The finger lakes region is also known for our delicious wineries and food choices. If you are into biking or running, the wineglass marathon occurs each year whose route goes past our facility. The Gaffer district in near by Corning offers plenty of unique shopping opportunities. We are a few hours to Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse. If you are up for a slightly longer car ride we are four hours from New York City and five hours from Pittsburgh PA.
