About Metropolitan Veterinary Emergency Service
Louisville and its Metropolitan area is comprised of approximately 1.3 million people. The city is a nice mixture of quiet neighborhoods, vibrant riverfront, growing music/public radio scene and culinary/performing arts all set at a Midwest pace. We have a great ballet, opera, and Kentucky Center for the performing arts. There is a huge culinary scene in Louisville with hip restaurants as well as a growing food truck market. Obviously, the city's most noteworthy event is the Kentucky Derby which spans 2 weeks of fun filled events including the Pegasus parade and Balloon Glow leading up to the actual horse racing of Oaks and Derby. We have several large music festivals per year as well as plenty of outdoor opportunities for hiking, biking, canoeing, etc. Louisville is also only a few hour trip from many other metropolitan areas including Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Cincinnati.
