Spring House Animal Hospital in Ambler, Pennsylvania is looking for a part-time Veterinarian to join our team.

Spring House Animal Hospital is a full service small animal hospital that cares primarily for dogs and cats, but our medical director also treats some pocket pets, as well as animals from the Elmwood Park Zoo. Our medical director, Dr. Liz McMurtrie, is a University of Pennsylvania grad who completed an Oncology residency and then became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in canine and feline practice. She founded Spring House in 2001 and has continued to uphold ABVP’s vision of providing the highest standard of care to every patient.

Spring House is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, rhinoscopy, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and lift tables in our dog exam rooms. We have a feline only exam room, as well as a separate cat waiting area and cat ward. Our surgical suite is AAHA certified and contains a surgical laser, heated tables, orthopedic equipment, VetSpecs and Doppler monitoring equipment, and an ipad to display x-rays. We have a very well-trained support staff, including 4 certified veterinary technicians. Since Dr. McMurtrie has advanced Oncology training, we are able to offer chemotherapy and advanced oncologic surgeries to our patients. Furthermore, we utilize the services of a board certified radiologist, surgeon, and cardiologist who come in to perform advanced diagnostics and surgeries (orthopedic and advanced soft tissue) as needed. You can learn more about our hospital at http://www.springhouseanimalhospital.com/.

Our ideal candidate has several years of experience and is available to work Wednesdays and Saturdays. We could accommodate a surgery day Wednesday, which would include a combination of surgeries and dentals.

Our hospital is located in Ambler, PA, which is a suburb of Philadelphia and one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. For those who enjoy the city life, we are only 20 miles away from downtown Philadelphia and two hours away from New York City.  For those looking for a family friendly location, Ambler has A+ public schools, an affordable cost of living, and endless recreational activities. Ambler Main Street has a playhouse, theater, great restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques.  Ambler also has annual events like OktoberFest, Restaurant Week, Ambler Arts and Music Festival, First Friday festivals, and Farmer’s Markets. For the outdoor adventurists, there are numerous outdoor activities available in every season, including exploring the Four Mills Nature Reserve, skiing in Valley Forge, biking along the Schuylkill River Trail, or ziplining down Spring Mountain.

At Spring House, we take the health and well-being of our employees seriously, offering flexible working conditions and encouraging a well-rounded work/life balance. For our part time employees, we offer a competitive salary, CE allowance, and reimbursement for membership dues and license fees. If this sounds like a team you want to be a part of, please email your resume to Dr. Shelly Wazyniak at swazyniak@petvetcarecenters.com or apply at https://www.petvetcareers.com/.
