OPVMC is a privately-owned hospital and a leader in Specialty, 24/7 Emergency and Wellness healthcare for pets.  We enjoy a strong diverse caseload, are growing quickly, and are seeking the right individual to help contribute to the team environment and to expand the medicine we offer to the community.  The ideal person would primarily manage in-patient cases and be a team player with emergencies if needed – we would expect approximately 90% of the workload to be in-patient management. We desire a person interested in helping to cultivate better medicine by utilizing our current technology and equipment as well as assist with supporting the continued advancement of our technologic offerings.

OPVMC consists of two boarded internists, one boarded surgeon and two residency trained surgeons that limit their practice to surgery, a boarded medical oncologist, a behavior specialist, and eighteen emergency/general practice veterinarians. We also have a relationship with a boarded radiologist and a board-certified clinical pathologist.

Our current 22,000 sq. ft facility includes endoscopy, cystoscopy, Storz endosurgical equipment, GE Logiq s8 expert Vet ultrasound machine, 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion CT unit, digital radiography with integrated radiography review, a complete onsite laboratory with an Olympus camera microscope for same-day remote board certified clinical pathologist evaluations of cytologic preparations, and blood bank. We are in the process of planning an expansion and full renovation of our facility which will include additional in-patient and ICU capacity, MRI machine, additional surgical suites and much more! We enjoy a paper-light electronic medical records system that streamlines paperwork, improves record keeping, and facilitates client and referring veterinarian communication.

We have an incredibly loyal, hardworking and dedicated team. We are committed to the patients and the community, and promote an environment that fosters team learning mixed with a daily dose of laughter.  Learn more about us at http://www.OPVMC.com/.

Architectural gems are everywhere providing great options for home buying and really cool places to visit and hangout. Buffalo also has many entertainment venues including concerts, theater events, live music, the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Bandits lacrosse, awesome food (pizza and wings are good, but we have so much more!), an abundance of micro breweries and distilleries; not to mention amazing art at the Albright Knox Art Gallery, The Buffalo Philharmonic, and fun days at the Science Museum. Let’s not forget the incredible Niagara Falls, and that’s just the beginning… If you are interested in learning more about Buffalo please visit the following: https://www.buffalorising.com/; http://www.buffalospree.com/.

We offer a competitive compensation package including health, dental and vision insurance; CE allowance, association dues; license and professional liability reimbursement, life insurance and 401(K) plan with employer match. We also offer relocation costs, student loan repayment and a signing bonus!
