Shelley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian.  We are committed to practicing high quality medicine at an affordable price, so we need a motivated, compassionate, and client-oriented individual to share in those values.  Must be personable and able to work well as a team.  Our number one priority is the health and well-being of the pet.  This shows through with our clinic-client relationship.  Communication and compassion with our clients are key and we are looking for someone that has the heart and patience to uphold this goal.  We do our best to care for each patient regardless of circumstance.  We will never let an animal suffer and strive every day to find solutions to each situation to help the patient.  We need a Veterinarian that agrees with this policy and will fight alongside us to help each animal.  We work very closely with several rescues and animal control facilities so must be eager to help with the needs of homeless animals in our area.

About Us:

Shelley Veterinary Hospital is a fast-paced, small animal practice, currently running 3 full-time Veterinarians.  Our goal is to offer quality and affordable treatment options for appreciative clients and patients.  Our practice opened in 1998 as a one Veterinarian practice and has continue to grow rapidly.  Our reputation is unparalleled in our area and we have an exceptional clientele.  We are located in Shelley, Idaho.  Though our city is small, we are just 7 miles from the city of Idaho Falls.  We are conveniently located a short drive from Blacktail Reservoir, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Targhee Ski Resort and much more.  Our area provides a wide array of outdoor activities such as Camping, Fishing, Hiking, Skiing, Boating, Hunting, Golfing, and snowmobile riding.

Shelley Veterinary Hospital offers:

  • Generous compensation package
  • Signing bonus and/or relocation assistance, up to $10,000
  • Continuing education allowance
  • Licenses, memberships, and dues paid
  • Full benefits including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance plan options, as well as short and long-term disability, and life insurance.
  • 401 (k) retirement plan
  • In-house laboratory equipment, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, therapy laser, surgical laser, PRP therapy.

Our staff does their best to customize the needs of each individual Veterinarian.  Our current technicians have each been working in Veterinary medicine for over 30 years.  Our Practice Manager has been working with our Practice for over 15 years.  Our staff is exceptionally caring and driven to do everything possible to care for our patients and ensure the client has the best experience possible.  Our receptionists ensure that when a client and patient walk through our door, they feel welcomed and their needs heard and met.  Their pet is not just a number to us, they are family.

It is very important to us to find a Veterinarian that shares in our values and passion for this industry.  Someone that understands that the animal comes first, and we will do everything we can to help them.  If you are considering a position with Shelley Veterinary Hospital, please come and experience the difference. You can visit our website at shelleyvet.com.  If you are interested and/or have any questions, please contact Brittney Clements, our Practice Manager, at shelleyvh@mypm.vet or by phone at 208-357-5100.

State of Idaho Veterinary Board and DEA Registration is required prior to start date.

About Shelley Veterinary Hospital
Blue River PetCare's mission is to provide a long-term home for local practices that selling owners have worked so hard to build. We are dedicated to retaining the culture of each of our hospitals in addition to the local practice of medicine. We do this by ensuring each hospital has complete medical autonomy with their choice of protocols, therapies, inventory items, vendors and even management software. We also focus on our employees’ health and well-being as much as we do the pets we treat. We would love to hear from you!
