National Veterinary Associates is seeking experienced ER doctors, who are interested in making a positive impact on the communities we serve throughout the United States. Both regional and cross country traveling positions are available. Our traveling veterinarian role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside people who share your values and provide outstanding patient and client care.

NVA was founded in 1996 by Stanley Creighton DVM, with an emphasis on supporting local medical standards as established by individual hospitals and practitioners. He believed then as we do now, that veterinary medicine is best practiced when veterinarians craft their own hospital and community specific strategies for high quality patient care and client services.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to hire Traveling Emergency Veterinarians to join our SpecialtyER team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in Emergency Medicine. Surgery experience/willingness to cut preferred
  • Ability to travel to hospital locations throughout NVA’s SpecialtyER network (Regional and Cross country positions are available)
  • Ability to adapt to different hospitals (i.e. unique hospital culture, diverse clientele, etc.)
  • Willingness to obtain state licensure for each state worked in
  • Must be willing to work rotating/all shifts

Scheduling will consist of 12 shifts per month, most likely rotating. Compensation will consist of base salary, plus hourly relief rate for any additional shifts outside of regular Full Time schedule. A non-taxed, per diem government rate is also offered for housing, with relocation provided between contracted locations. In addition, this position will offer full benefits, professional liability coverage, as well as coverage for costs of state licensures obtained. Our contracts are typically one year in length, with assignments being roughly 3-4+ months each, depending on location. There is a minimum of two assignment locations per contract year.
