Associate mixed animal veterinarian

Mixed animal veterinarian needed for rapidly growing mixed animal practice in rural western PA about 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. Applicant must be proficient in both small and large animal general practice. Small animal duties include office appointments for both wellness and sick/injured patients as well as surgery depending on interest and experience. Small animal hospital is well equipped with in house blood and urinalysis machine, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and fully computerized record keeping. Practice has recently relocated to a 7000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art hospital with excellent support staff in place.  We are located in a rural area along a major highway with easy access to Pittsburgh.  Large animal ambulatory duties include farm calls and equally sharing of emergency duties with 2 other doctors. Dairy and equine interest and experience are necessary. Experience with reproductive ultrasound in both bovine and equine is preferred. Practice also services other farm animal species including beef cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and camelids. Daily workload is varied as far as species focus. Valid PA veterinary license, national accreditation, and current drivers license is required. Practice vehicle is provided as well as vet license renewal, continuing ed., malpractice insurance, and health insurance after probationary period.
