It’s a practice with experienced doctors in a well-equipped, non-traditional clinic environment and they are eager to share their knowledge and skills. A collaborative group that is excited to support and share ideas with a new graduate or experienced veterinarian. We have an outstanding practice team and a family friendly atmosphere you will be sure to enjoy.

We take pride in quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, some exotics, small farm animals, reptiles, birds and the occasional possum or pelican. Our team’s mission is to provide high quality service, personalized and compassionate care to our clients and patients. We’re lucky to have a following of loyal clients who continually allow us to care for their pets and provide us with referrals. It’s a busy place!

Would you like to work in an environment where money is NOT the main focus… although we do have to pay the bills; we are passionate about what we do here, the care of our patients is key! Being on an island, you will see a variety of cases both surgical and medical, and because specialists are not always an option due to location or patient finances, you will see some more difficult cases from time to time that will be sure to expand your experience and help you continue to grow as a veterinarian.

We offer our patients wellness examinations, immunizations, general surgery and dentistry, an Isolation unit, ultrasound and digital x-ray including dental radiographs, comprehensive in-house laboratory, as well as offering emergency services during open hours.

If you are looking for challenging veterinary cases, a great staff to work with, and would like to experience a sub-tropical climate with the ease of island life, The Animal Clinic of Galveston Island is the perfect destination.

What we are looking for:  licensed, well rounded, energetic and compassionate full-time and part-time Associate Veterinarians willing to dedicate their expertise to our patient's health and happiness.

NOTES:
2 openings.

Additional Salary Information: We support our veterinarians with a great benefits package: Competitive salary, health, dental and vision insurance, Simple IRA, paid vacation, PTO, paid holidays, employee discounts, continuing education allowance, and in-house training, 4-day work weeks with a once a month Saturday rotation.
About The Animal Clinic of Galveston
We are different from the rest! We are a practice with a long history and following! The Animal Clinic of Galveston, sits a block off the Gulf with a clear view of the surf from our upper deck. The Clinic was awarded the Texas Heritage Award from the TVMA for the ongoing service to our community since 1936 and the historic buildings we occupy. It’s just a short walk across the “Cat Walk” to our “Cat Friendly Practice” (no dogs allowed of course). Both buildings offer a very comfortable and homey environment that our clients love. We support and work with our local shelter and care deeply for our community.
