Tri-County Veterinary Services is a busy, family owned, mixed animal practice that services the local pet animal and farm animal community.  We are located 35 minutes from Harrisburg and also draw many clients from that suburbia.  Our equipment includes CBC/Chemistry machines, in-house and portable ultrasound, digital X-ray, Tonopen, and microbiology lab.  This year we have purchased the office of a local retiring veterinarian and have turned it into a spay/neuter clinic.  This will be helpful as we work to fulfill a backlog of surgery requests that has developed this year.

We love our pleasant and competent support staff and seek to provide the best possible care to our clients and pets.  Our 5 doctor practice sees a wide variety of cases and is a team-oriented group that is looking for a knowledgeable yet willing-to-learn associate.  Special interests are encouraged and our team is committed to mentoring new doctors.  A strong work ethic and agreeable demeanor are essential.

We hope to employ someone desiring a long term residency in a  small town/rural atmosphere.  This is a full or part-time position working with pets alone +/- large animals (bovine/equine/small ruminants).

** Sign-On Bonus is available & negotiable **

This associate would likely see appointments one evening per week and one Saturday per month, but receive either a half or whole day off per week.  This could be a good opportunity for someone interested in ownership.  You may visit our website at www.tricountyvetpa.com.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Health insurance and Professional Liability Insurance, Licensing fees, CE allowance, dues paid for two professional associations, two+ weeks paid vacation, 2 days CE paid time away, and 1 paid sick day. We provide a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan.
About Tri-County Vet Services
We are a 5-doctor mixed veterinary practice in central Pennsylvania that serves a rural community but is only 40 minutes from Harrisburg. The practice is about 64% small animal, 20% dairy, 12% equine, and a few small ruminants and whitetail deer. We do not treat birds or reptiles. Regarding the small animal work, beyond the usual routine appointments, surgeries, and dentals, we tend to do a fair amount of dog reproduction including C-sections and an occasional artificial insemination for local small time breeders. We offer a broad repertoire of surgeries including feline perineal urethrostomy, canine urethrostomy, entropian, grid keratotomy, ACL surgery, FHNE, and orthopedics using pins and wires. We manufacture culture plates and do 95% of our own microbiology lab work. The dairy services include general herd health, reproduction and ultrasound, mastitis culturing and consulting, and common surgeries. The equine services include general equine health, reproductive services such as ultrasound and AI breeding, and emergency field services for colic and injuries.
