Overview -

Buffalo Veterinary Group (BVG) is currently seeking 2 associates: one full-time associate for our Green Acres Veterinary Center and one full-time associate for our McBride Animal Hospital.  BVG is a family of six privately-owned AAHA-certified hospitals located in suburban Buffalo, NY. Buffalo Veterinary Group was first established in 1975, and we have been providing the Buffalo community with exceptional care for 40+ years.  Our core values include: respect, excellence, compassion, integrity, dedication, and team effort.  We use these values to guide us in how we run the company, and how we treat our colleagues and clients. 

Green Acres and McBride are seeing tremendous growth and we in the last phase of construction on our new veterinary center at Green Acres.  We offer clients and patients a complete range of high-quality veterinary services including surgical and therapeutic laser, acupuncture, ASIF bone plating, ultrasound, digital dental and full body radiography, full IDEXX in-house lab with Sedivue, blood products, blood gas and coag testing, sevoflurane anesthesia, and EzyVet software. Our new facility will include a CT and endoscopy that will be available to all of our hospitals. In addition, we offer a wide range of telemedicine capabilities including consultation in the following areas: cardiology, neurology, internal medicine, radiology, pathology, and dermatology.

Schedule and Compensation -

We work a rotating schedule allowing for busy days to be followed by slower days.  Our doctors' schedules  average 38 hours per week and ensure 3-day weekends every other week.  Excellent base salary based on experience plus percentage.  

Benefits - 

We are pleased to provide a comprehensive benefit package. We pay professional liability insurance, health insurance, DEA registration, memberships in the local, state and national organizations such as AVMA, AAHA, and NYSVMS.  We offer paid holidays (major), paid vacation, 401(k) with 4% match.  You will have white coats provided to you and those will be dry cleaned weekly.  In addition, we offer an excellent, comprehensive pet discount plan that includes personal pets as well as the pets of parents, siblings, and extended family.

Continuing CE -

Our veterinarians attend monthly Buffalo Academy meetings featuring lectures by nationally known speakers. In addition, we provide a stipend to attend a conference annually.

The area is surrounded by lakes, and rivers providing a wide range of recreational activities year-round.  Niagara Falls, Toronto, and the mountains are all within a short drive.
