Veterinary Referral Associates (VRA) is looking for an emergency veterinarian to join our amazing team!  Our emergency veterinarians work an average of 12 shifts per month and rotate through day, swing, and overnight shifts. We also have 2 board certified Criticalists who make the emergency department an incredibly experienced and capable team. 

VRA is an AAHA accredited 24 hour specialty and emergency hospital located in Gaithersburg, MD. VRA was founded in 1977 and we have been supplying top-notch specialty and emergency care to pets in the Washington, D.C. area since then. Our hospital is over 30,000 square feet and specialty services offered include medical and radiation oncology, internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, anesthesiology, neurology, cardiology, radiology, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation, radioactive iodine treatment, and we just added an in-house clinical pathology department. Our specialists and emergency veterinarians collaborate daily to provide the gold standard in patient care. Advanced diagnostic testing is available on-site, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, and an in house laboratory.  We also have an internship program every year and our interns rotate through emergency and all the various specialties.
