WHO WE ARE
Angell is a premier veterinary institution staffed by 45 senior veterinarians, 20 interns, 11 residents and 91 certified veterinary technicians and we have an additional 9 technicians with a VTS. Angell offers specialty services in pain medicine, acupuncture, anesthesiology, avian and exotic medicine, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care medicine, internal medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, anatomic and clinical pathology, and surgery. Angell is a rich educational environment offering weekly on-site continuing education seminars and regular multi-disciplinary specialty rounds attended by M.D. specialists from local prestigious hospitals.
Angell offered the very first veterinary internship in the world beginning in 1941, running continuously to present day. Angell was instrumental in establishing specialty veterinary medicine. Our hospital has a long history of providing training not only to veterinary interns and residents but also to veterinary students and the veterinary community at large.
OUR ER-CCU SERVICE
Our current emergency and critical care service is comprised of three boarded criticalists, one board eligible criticalist, 2 ER doctors, 1 urgent care doctor and 6 ECC residents. We currently have 31 Certified Technicians in our Emergency Service with an additional and 6 technicians with a VTS in Emergency Care. Our technicians and Assistants are well-paid, highly-skilled, and properly experienced allowing you to practice the type of medicine that you are trained for. In addition our service prides itself on a close collaborative relationship with other departments (internal medicine, oncology, neurology, surgery, ophthalmology, and cardiology, etc

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an internship trained emergency doctor. The qualified individual will be responsible for receiving patients, overseeing the CCU and participation in mentorship and training of the interns. Sign-on bonus, and relocation allowance where applicable.

Candidates must demonstrate aptitude for multi-tasking and working successfully in a team environment. The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to the veterinary and technical staff as well as clients and referring veterinarians.

The Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) a world renown non-profit organization. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Angell is owned by the private, nonprofit, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The AAMC is a full service 24-hour facility that employs over 300 people and cares for approximately 90,000 cases annually.
