Animal Emergency and Trauma Center, located in beautiful Poulsbo, Washington, is adding a Managing Emergency Veterinarian to its growing hospital.

The Managing DVM role will be a combination of clinical and administrative duties, to include:
Interviewing, training, mentoring new doctors and relief doctors
Participate in disciplinary issues with doctors and staff in conjunction with the practice manager
Coverage of shifts (day, overnight, holiday) that are not covered
Write quarterly newsletter
Deliver/Pick up equipment that needs repair or has been repaired
Be available for questions regarding medical cases and/or client issues
Bi-weekly meeting with NVA division leader
Attendance of annual NVA specialty/ER conferences
Communicate with clients/rDVM regarding case management/complaints
Participate in cost/benefit discussions regarding equipment purchases, drug purchases, building improvements
The ideal candidate will have extensive ER experience, with an interest in leadership responsibilities and will have the opportunity to mentor with the current MDVM.
