Located in the heart of the Northwest, DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is a non-profit, AAHA-accredited and VECCS Level 1-certified client focused and teaching hospital in beautiful Portland, Oregon.
With our freshly remodeled specialty services suite, we are looking to expand our current services. We are currently seeking an additional Internist to join our exceptional team of highly skilled professionals committed to providing the best veterinary specialty services available.

In our beautifully remodeled, 22,000 square foot, two story building, we encompass emergency, critical care, and surgery services on our first floor, and specialty services including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Radiology on our second floor.
On-site equipment includes CT, ultrasound, digital radiology, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, etc.
Unique community and donor run programs and funds available for optimal patient care such as: an on-site donor-run blood bank, Pet Loss Support, Animal Assisted Therapy & Education, Low-Income Assistance Fund, and a Stray and Wildlife Fund.

Who we are looking for:
Currently licensed to practice in Oregon, or have the ability to obtain licensure.
Current ACVIM board-certification preferred, but a qualified and motivated board eligible candidate will be considered.
An understanding of a client centered practice.
Strong diagnostic and interventional skills with the ability to manage inpatient and outpatient care of a diverse internal medicine caseload of varying acuity.
Abdominal ultrasound skills preferred.
Teamwork and interpersonal skills to work in cooperative and close fashion within critical care environment, and effectively communicate with clients and rDVMs.
Ability to teach complex medical procedures and impart medical knowledge to different skill levels of staff (i.e., staff DVMs, interns, technicians, and technician assistants).
