Dr. Smith is “Fear Free” Certified (and both senior vet techs will be soon)Are you among the many dog and cat owners who say their pets hate going to the vete...rinarian? The “Fear Free” Certification Program teaches methods and protocols that provide calming environments for patients. This leads to fewer anxiety triggers and an experience that is rewarding and safer for all involved- pets, owners, and our veterinary staff. Petaluma Veterinary Hospital is now learning and implementing these methods. We understand and act as if your pet is scared, not mean.3. We Treat Our Clients As PartnersCommunication with our clients, to explain things in terms that can be understood, sets us apart. During diagnosis, we explain to the client why we may recommend certain tests, and their potential value; then we share test results and what they mean. After diagnosis we explain all treatment options. This way we treat our clients as partners, and we make decisions together.
